The North Devon Mini Rally comes through Lynton and Lynmouth every Bank Holiday monday. We didn't manage to get anywhere more picturesque to take a picture, so had to settle for one outside the house! Also today was the rescheduled Gala at Lynmouth, which was postponed from earlier in the month when the weather was awful!

The rescheduled raft race was last weekend. We didn't get down to see it, but Stephanie and Chris did, and took these pictures. Apparently if you didn't get wet or covered in flour you weren't there!

The scarecrows are taking over. There seem to be more than ever. We spotted these in the Middleham Garden in Lynmouth (while we were having a cream tea!).

During August Lynton & Lynmouth holds it's annual Scarecrow Festival. The event started a few years ago and since then it has grown and grown. They are everywhere . . . not just in people's gardens . . . they are on top of roofs, climbing walls and even up telegraph poles!
